Incidents

How outages are tracked from the first failed check to recovery.

View monitors →

An incident is the record of a single outage. When a monitor crosses its failure threshold, Neouptime opens an incident, notifies your alert channels, and starts a timeline. The incident stays open until the monitor recovers.

Incident lifecycle

  1. Opened — the monitor has failed enough consecutive checks to cross its threshold. Alerts go out.
  2. Acknowledged — someone on the team marks that they are looking into it (optional).
  3. Resolved — a check succeeds again, or you resolve it manually. A recovery notification is sent.

Notes and timeline

You can add notes to an incident as you investigate — for example what you found or what you changed. Notes, plus the open / acknowledge / resolve events, form a timeline you can review later or include in client communication.

Where to find incidents

  • The dashboard shows all currently open incidents across your workspace.
  • Each monitor has an Incidents tab listing its own history.
  • Resolved incidents stay on record so you can audit past downtime.
