Alert channels
Where Neouptime sends notifications when a monitor goes down or recovers.
Open alerts →An alert channel is a destination for notifications. When a monitor opens or resolves an incident, Neouptime sends a message to every channel you have enabled for it.
Channel types
| Channel | How it works | You provide | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| A message is delivered to an inbox. | An email address | All plans | |
| Slack | Posts to a Slack channel via an incoming webhook. | A Slack incoming webhook URL | Pro and up |
| Webhook | Sends a JSON payload to your own endpoint via HTTP POST. | A URL that accepts POST | Pro and up |
Adding a channel
- Go to Alerts → + Add channel.
- Choose the channel type and enter its destination (email address or webhook URL).
- Save. The channel can be enabled or disabled at any time without deleting it.
When alerts fire
A monitor only alerts once it crosses its failure threshold — the number of consecutive failed checks required before an incident opens. This avoids noise from a single transient blip. You set the threshold and choose which channels a monitor uses on its settings page.
